Ted James is an award-winning director, writer and actor. He recently directed the Chicago premiere of Will Eno’s Intermission as part of the Artistic Home’s Cut to the Chase festival, which he also curated. His stage producing credits include the Chicago premiere of Theresa Rebeck’s What We’re Up Against at Compass Theatre. Ted’s one-act plays have twice been produced as part of Cut to the Chase. As an independent film director, his work has screened at many prestigious festivals, including The Chicago International Film Festival. Ted’s TV field producing work has routinely aired on CBS, NBC, ABC, and many other networks. His TV writing has aired on NBC Nightly News, The Today Show, CNN, and MSNBC. Stage acting credits include Wellesley Girl, What We’re Up Against (Compass Theatre), School for Lies, Time of Your Life (u/s), Watch on the Rhine (u/s) (The Artistic Home), Dreams of the Penny God, Diana of Dobson’s, The Emperor of the Moon (Halycon Theatre) and many others. Ted is a member of SAG-AFTRA and Actors’ Equity Association.
