As always, donations are incredibly welcome at any level. The Artistic Home is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization so any money you share will be tax deductible.
The funds raised will go directly toward:
Producing New Work: Your donation will help us continue to create and present daring, thought-provoking performances that challenge perspectives and celebrate the power of storytelling such as the Jeff Award winning production of Malapert Love.
Supporting Local Artists: We are committed to providing paid opportunities for local actors, directors, designers, and technicians, ensuring that Chicago's arts community continues to thrive.
Maintaining Our Studio: Like any home, our space needs regular care and attention. Your support will help us maintain the venue and ensure it remains a welcoming, inspiring place for artists to grow and take risks.
Non-Monetary Donations
For those of you who have nothing but time to give, we'd be happy to take some of that off of your hands. There are numerous ways to help the theater that don't require monetary donations. Whatever your special skill, be it organizing, selling, building, cleaning or schmoozing, we probably have a job for you.
If you really want to roll your sleeves up and help, join the board! We are always looking for new board members to help The Artistic Home grow and prosper. If you are interested in learning more about being on the board, please email Artistic Director Kathy Scambiatterra at theartistichome@sbcglobal.net.
Finally, what you may consider junk, we consider a dream come true. Before you get rid of any gently-used office equipment, extra building materials, or vintage clothes, there is a chance we may be able to use it. Instead of throwing it away, please consider donating it to us. Items we currently wish upon a star for include, computers, illuminated window sign, light board, light instruments and theatre seats.
This is an opportunity to make your donation go twice as far, and we hope you’ll take advantage of the matching grant to support the home where Chicago’s vibrant theatre community comes to life.
