French playwright Jean Cocteau’s farce Les Parents Terribles chronicles one unstable family’s twisted love triangles and taboo attractions. Les Parents Terribles shines the light on one family's tangled and twisted love lives. Michael loves Madeleine, but he also shares a twisted passion with Yvonne, who just happens to be his mother. Michael's father George has already loved Madeleine but doesn't want Michael to find out. It's left to straight-laced Aunt Leo, who has spent decades pining for George, to put the whole mess to bed and reunite the young lovers. Sexy and sinful, Les Parents Terribles presents a new twist on loving one's family.

“Ferocious, torquelike, high pitched warp speed tornado of a revival.”
— Hedy Weiss, Chicago Sun Times
“Most admirably, particularly in the physical comedy, the entire cast displays well-honed bird-on-a-wire balance between Cocteau’s poles of Machiavellian order and unbridled id.”
— Kerry Reid, Chicago Tribune
“...LES PARENTS TERRIBLES is an entertaining dark comedy. Mossman skillfully manages this unruly, hot-mess-of-a-family. By the end of the show, we are all out of breath as this zany rollercoaster ride comes to a complete stop.”
— Katy Walsh, The Fourth Walsh
